While at work my cell phone never rings....until yesterday! When I answer the phone, I hear "Hi Mrs. Webb, this is Erica from the School Age Program. It looks like Erin has broken her arm and we are on the phone with the 112 emergency line. Please come right away." As if that wasn't alarming enough, when I pull up to the building, I am greeted by two fire trucks, an ambulance and four Security Forces cars. PANICK set in!

After an exciting ride to the hospital in an ambulance we found out she broke her arm in two places. The orthopedic surgeon came into the E.R. for a visit and when he said an IV would need to be started, Erin lost it again. So...an IV was started and she was wheeled back to have the bones set and have a temporary cast put on. This Friday we go to see the orthopedist and if the x-rays turn out OK, she will get a permanent cast.

Oh NO, poor Erin! I hope Erin is not hurting and that she will feel better soon. Hopefully your cell phone will not ring at work again. :)
Poor baby! How did she break it at school? We're sending lots of hugs her way! Hope she's feeling better.
Emily had a meltdown over the IV, too. Once it was in it was fine, but OMG you would have thought they were killing her when they put it in.
